It depends on the type of system and what the check finds. The service itself is quoted as one fixed price, and if a valve, element or thermostat needs replacing that is priced before we do it. There is nothing to pay just for us to come and look during business hours.

Your owner's guide or the label on the unit gives the manufacturer's interval, and it varies by brand and type. Many storage tank labels also ask for the relief valve to be eased every six months, which you can do yourself. If you do not know when it was last looked at, it is worth a check.
