A blockage in the pan is usually cleared with a plunger or auger, one further down the line needs the jet blaster, and tree roots or a broken pipe take longer again. Start with a toilet plunger: with water in the bowl, seal it over the outlet and push and pull firmly a few times. Chemical toilet unblockers rarely shift wipes, sanitary items or anything dropped in, and they leave harsh chemicals sitting in the bowl. If a few goes with the plunger have not cleared it, or water comes up in another drain, the blockage is further down the line and needs a plumber.
