Drainage systems on a property experience significant wear and tear over time. Wastewater flows through them every single day, and many of these systems are under the ground, which also means any deterioration or damage isn’t easily noticeable.
Only when people notice water pooling or flooring in various indoor and outdoor areas of their home do they realise there are problems with their drains. We at Mr. Splash Plumbing handle all types of drain repair jobs and offer customised, affordable services to commercial and residential clients.
We know from experience that drain-related problems can sometimes become quite severe. This is particularly the case if you defer getting the problem fixed in time. We have the experience, expertise, and the resources to handle all type drain repairs to industry standards.
Types of Drain Repairs
We recognize that every customer will have specific needs and a budget, which is why we offer our customers two drain repair choices:
Traditional Drain Repairs/Replacement
This is the standard way to fix damaged or deteriorated drains, and the process we follow includes:
- If the damaged section of the drain pipe runs under a walkway in your yard, the pavers would need to be ripped out.
- Our team will dig into the soil to inspect the pipe.
- Depending on their findings, they will recommend either repairs or replacement. If the pipe is in deplorable condition, replacement becomes a more feasible and cost-effective option over the long term.
- Once the drain repairs have been completed, the soil will be set back in place.
This process can be time-consuming, and as you can see, it’s also quite invasive. Fixing the dugout hardscaping features is another expense you need to factor into the overall cost the drain repairs.
With the advancement in technology, there is now a much better option for drain repairs. Pipe relining or trenchless drain repairs eliminate the need for extensive digging. This is the process followed:
- Our team will use a CCTV drain camera to determine where the damage is and how severe it is.
- Only two small trenches will be dug out at either end of the damaged drain pipe.
- The plumbers will view the images and determine what type of repairs would work best. In pipe relining, an epoxy sleeve is inserted into the cracked or damaged pipe.
- When this sleeve is inflated, it fits in perfectly with the inside of the underground pipe and creates a seamless lining.
- This is a highly advanced technology, and the pipe lining can last for at least 50 years.
The cost of this process is higher than the traditional plumbing method, but it is less invasive and can be completed in a shorter period. Since the relining provides so many decades of service, it becomes a good return on investment. Drain repairs can become very troublesome and costly, very quickly if you do not address them as soon as you notice them.
Preventive Drain Maintenance Services
We also offer preventive plumbing maintenance solutions. Our plumbers carry out checks of all the plumbing installations and fixtures on your property at regular intervals. This inspection enables them to spot drain pipe and other problems early, and you get the chance to fix them before they get out of hand.
