Recent Work Near Kogarah
Real jobs from our own records, completed in the surrounding suburbs.
Kogarah is apartment country: the 2021 Census counts 7,232 private dwellings here and 71% of them are flats or units, with 48% rented. Unit plumbing has its own habits: common stacks that back up into the lowest floor first, in-wall cisterns that need the right access panel, and hot water units in cupboards where a leak shows up on the neighbour's ceiling. The pipe from your Kogarah home to the street connection is the owner's responsibility, not Sydney Water's, and it is the stretch that tree roots and old clay joints attack. A camera inspection tells you whether it needs clearing, relining or leaving alone. Members get a free annual home inspection, which is the cheapest way to catch a slow drain or a tired hot water system before it becomes an emergency.
In June 2026, a Rockdale customer reported a badly blocked sewer line. Our plumber arrived to find a blocked drain. We gained access to the work area through an accessible opening, set up specialist hoses and a mini reel, and carried out a high-powered jet blast of the drainage service. We then set up a CCTV camera and carried out a CCTV inspection of the drainage service. We also carried out locating services. We completed the work.
In April 2026, a Rockdale customer reported a blocked drain. Our plumber attended and carried out a plunge and acid treatment on the urinal. We found the connection from the uni trap/trap to the urinal was leaking, allowing excess to leak onto the floor. This building is owned by the council and would require them to attend and rectify.
In September 2026, our plumber attended a reported burst pipe located before the meter in Brighton-Le-Sands. After the customer signed a quote, we supplied a 20mm threaded female shut off valve, two 20mm nipples, a 20mm brass 90, and lox seal. We then waited for an excavator to be loaded before continuing the work.
A Brighton-Le-Sands resident reported a blocked drain in their apartment in June 2026. Our plumber went up the stack and cleared it to the vent. They then went down the floor waste with a flex shaft but were unable to get through a milky-coloured blockage. Caps were removed, and each accessible line was checked, with no blockages found. Sheets over the stack were removed, and access was gained through the main stack inspection and a smaller junction inspection cap. The flex shaft was used down the floor waste line, but the blockage could not be cleared.
In September 2026, our plumber attended a blocked drain in Bexley. We provided a quote for a high-powered jet blast of the drainage service and a CCTV inspection. The quote was accepted.

In July 2026, a plumber attended a Bexley property for a reported dishwasher removal and new dishwasher installation. Our plumber provided a quote for the work.

Kogarah Plumbing FAQ
Answer:
Check whether the pipe is common property. NSW says the owners corporation maintains and repairs common property, which commonly includes pipes, while an owner handles items within their own property; the strata plan or strata manager can confirm the boundary (NSW Government). Flats accounted for 71.2% of Kogarah homes at the ABS 2021 Census. Once responsibility is clear, Mr Splash can clear the blockage and provide a fixed price first.
Answer:
Yes. Mr Splash provides emergency plumbing in Kogarah 24/7, including weekends, and aims to have a plumber with you within the hour. You get a fixed price before any work begins and pay nothing until you accept it. A call-out fee may apply after hours or on weekends, at our discretion, and we always confirm that fee with you before attending.
Answer:
Leave the area. Jemena says a gas leak may smell like rotten eggs or cabbage, and advises you not to smoke or use a phone, to extinguish naked flames, then report the smell (Jemena). After the property is safe, Mr Splash can find and fix a gas leak. Our plumbers are licensed under NSW licence 306457C and can also install or repair gas cooktops, heaters and gas hot water.
