Recent Work Near Como
Real jobs from our own records, completed in the surrounding suburbs.
Como is mostly houses: 91% of the 1,378 private dwellings the 2021 Census counts here are separate houses, and 89% are owner occupied or mortgaged rather than rented. The pipe from your Como home to the street connection is the owner's responsibility, not Sydney Water's, and it is the stretch that tree roots and old clay joints attack. A camera inspection tells you whether it needs clearing, relining or leaving alone. Members get a free annual home inspection, which is the cheapest way to catch a slow drain or a tired hot water system before it becomes an emergency.
In March 2026, a customer in Jannali reported a washing machine hose had sprung a leak and they could not shut off the water. Our plumber isolated the water feed, then disconnected and removed the broken water feed hose. We supplied and installed a new water feed hose, reconnected the drainage hose, and turned on the water to test all works. We completed the work.
A customer in Illawong reported a blocked sewer in August 2026. Our plumber found the blockage at a main shaft, which was accessible via a private laneway. The customer approved a quote for excavation. We excavated the sewer service to 1.5m, removed defective PVC pipework, and installed new 100mm PVC pipework and fittings. We raised PVC inspection openings to ground level, concreted joins, backfilled the trench with blue metal and soil, and compacted the ground.

Our plumber attended an Illawong property in July 2026 where the Rheem electric hot water system had no hot water pressure. We found debris caught inside the temperature line. We completed the work.

In August 2026, our plumber attended a Kareela property for two blocked toilets and slow-running drains. We provided a quote for the work.

In August 2026, our plumber attended a blocked drain at the front of a property in Oatley. We gained access to the work area and set up specialist hoses and a mini reel. We then carried out a high-powered jet blast of the drainage service. A CCTV inspection of the drainage service was then completed, and we provided our findings. The customer was informed that the sewer was blocked again.

In May 2026, our plumber attended a home in Oatley to quote on replacing a hot water system. The existing 32L gas Rinnai heater was old and rusty. We provided a quote for the replacement. The customer accepted the quote, and we then supplied and installed a Rinnai B26 hot water system and valves. We also installed a complimentary garden tap.

Como Plumbing FAQ
Answer:
Yes. Weekends and public holidays are covered by our 24/7 emergency service. 91.3% of Como homes are separate houses (ABS 2021 Census). Weekday visits between 7am and 4pm carry no call-out fee*; after hours a fee may apply, and we always confirm it with you before we attend.
Answer:
Yes. A weak or failed flush usually comes down to the flush valve, the button mechanism or a partial blockage, and we find which. 40.4% of Como homes are owned outright (ABS 2021 Census). The repair is priced before we start.
Answer:
The owner, from the house up to the point of connection with Sydney Water's system (Sydney Water). Como had 4,053 residents at the 2021 Census (ABS). If that pipe blocks, we clear it with a high-pressure jetter and inspect it by camera, free with any booked drain service.
