Recent Work Near Silverwater
Real jobs from our own records, completed in the surrounding suburbs.
Sydney Water looks after about 27,000 kilometres of wastewater pipes and clears up to 20,000 blockages a year, but the line from your house to the street connection is yours to maintain, and that is the stretch where tree roots, old clay joints and ground movement do their damage. If you would rather not find out the hard way, our VIP members get a free annual home inspection that checks the drains, taps and hot water before anything fails.
The Mr Splash job bookJul 2026
In July 2026, a Newington customer reported a toilet leaking from the shut-off valve. Our plumber attended and quoted for the necessary work. The quote was accepted, and we completed the work as quoted.

In March 2026, our plumber attended a Newington property where a tap was leaking and another had no cold water. We found a previously installed washer jammed backwards inside the breach, and both sets of taps had massive cracks in the breach. We removed the taps and completed the work.

In August 2026, our plumber attended a Rydalmere property for a main waste pipe blockage. We excavated the front garden area, exposing a 150mm shaft and junction arm to Sydney Water. We then installed a slab repair upstream of a terracotta point, plumbed up the back section with a slope junction, and installed a slabby facing up. The area was backfilled and washed down. We completed the work.

In May 2026, our plumber attended a property in Auburn where the customer wanted to change some taps. We provided a quote for the work. The customer approved the quote, and our plumber installed new taps. New cover plates were provided, but the customer chose to keep the old ones. The spout was too tight to remove without potential damage, so it was not replaced.

In April 2026, our plumber attended a blocked toilet in Ermington. We provided a quote for the work. The job was completed, and a walk-through was done with the customer.

In April 2026, our plumber attended a blocked sewer line in Ermington. We attempted to clear the blockage via an inspection shaft in the front yard. A CCTV camera located an impenetrable blockage where earthenware pipe met PVC pipe. We supplied a quote to excavate and replace the section of sewer.

Silverwater Plumbing FAQ
Answer:
You get a fixed price before any work starts, and you pay nothing until you accept it. It does not creep up while we work, so there are no hidden costs. There is no call-out fee during business hours*, and after hours or on weekends a fee may apply, which we always confirm with you before we attend. For a larger job, 0% interest payment plans can spread the cost.
Answer:
Yes. We repair leaking showers and do bathroom renovations. Flats make up 48% of Silverwater homes (ABS 2021 Census), and in a strata building the owners corporation is responsible for common property, which commonly includes pipes and external walls, while owners repair what is in their own property (NSW Government). Check your strata plan or ask the strata manager before work begins. You get a fixed price first, and you pay nothing until you accept it.
Answer:
City of Parramatta's tree rules cover any tree or palm five metres or taller (City of Parramatta). Where roots damage pipes, Council says that if the damage is serious and recurring, the tree may be supported for removal (City of Parramatta). Either way, the pipe gets cleared first: we use a high-pressure jetter, then a CCTV camera inspection, free with any booked drain service, shows whether roots have broken in.
Answer:
Yes, 24/7, including weekends, and we aim to have a plumber with you within the hour. After hours a call-out fee may apply, and we always confirm it with you before we attend. In Silverwater 48.7% of homes are rented (ABS 2021 Census); for a renter, a burst water service or a failed hot water service is an urgent repair (NSW Government), and the first step is telling the landlord or agent (NSW Government).
