The Stormwater Drainage Work We Install
New drainage from the downpipe to the council drain, dug, laid and connected by our own licensed drainers.

New Storm Water Lines
We dig the trench, lay new storm water pipe on the right fall and join it to your existing system or a new discharge point. A few metres beside the house or the full length of the block.

Downpipe Connections
Downpipes that spill onto the ground or into the neighbour's yard get connected into the stormwater line, with broken or root-choked sections replaced on the way.

Stormwater Pits And Grates
Collection pits and grates set at the low points of the yard so surface water has somewhere to go, with every pipe into the pit sealed and on grade.

Council And Kerb Connections
Connecting your property to the council stormwater drain, the kerb outlet or the street. We organise Dial Before You Dig, the council road opening permit and traffic control, and work to your approved plans.

Strip Drains And Surface Water
Strip drains across paths, driveways and doorways catch water before it reaches the house, and are piped into the stormwater system rather than left to overflow.

Excavation And Trenching
Hand digging where access is tight, a mini excavator where it is not. Trenches are dug to the depth the pipe needs, then backfilled and the ground made good.
Which Stormwater Drainage Job Is Yours?
Most drainage installations start from one of these three situations.

Council Letter Or Approved Plans
Council has written to you about drainage, or you already have Section 68 approval and plans for a new connection. Send the letter or the plans with your enquiry and we quote the job to them.

Water Pooling Or Under The House
The yard floods when it rains, water sits against the walls or collects under the floor. It needs a pit and a pipe to carry it away before it damages footings or floors. If an existing pipe has cracked or collapsed, that is a stormwater repair, which we also do.

Downpipes Going Nowhere
Downpipes that end at the ground, run into a neighbour's yard or are choked with roots. Each one gets a proper connection into the stormwater line.
How A New Stormwater Drain Goes In
The same three steps whether it is two downpipes in Ingleburn or a new line to the street in Jannali.
Fixed price firstLook, Locate And Quote
We walk the site, find where the existing storm water pipes run and where the water can go, read any plans or council letter, and give you one fixed price before any digging.
Permits sortedDig, Lay And Connect
Dial Before You Dig and any council permits come first. Then we excavate, lay the pipe on the right fall, and join every downpipe, pit and grate into it.
Made goodTest, Backfill And Tidy Up
We run water through the new line to prove it flows, backfill and compact the trench, and set the grates level so the yard is ready to use.

- Pay Later At 0%A new drainage line is rarely something anyone budgeted for this year. Spread the fixed price over a 0% interest payment plan instead of paying the lot up front.

Stormwater Drainage Installation FAQs
Answer:
It depends on the length of the run, how deep it has to go, what is in the way (concrete, rock, tree roots, other services) and whether it connects to a pit on your land or to the council drain in the street, which adds permits and traffic control. We look at the site and give you one fixed price before any work starts.
Answer:
Usually, yes. In NSW, stormwater drainage work that connects to a council system commonly needs council approval under Section 68 of the Local Government Act, and digging in the footpath or road needs a road opening permit. Every council sets its own conditions. If you already have the approval and plans, send them to us and we quote to them, and we organise Dial Before You Dig, the road opening permit and traffic control for the dig.
Answer:
Not for long. Water dumped at the base of a wall soaks the footings and can end up under the house or in the neighbour's yard, and councils generally expect roof water to be piped to an approved point. Connecting downpipes into the stormwater line is one of the most common drainage jobs we do.
Answer:
An easement is a strip of land on your title that gives the council or a neighbour the right to run drainage through it. You cannot build over it, and work on a pipe in it usually needs the easement holder to agree. We can locate the line with a drain camera and show you what is in there before you plan anything around it.
Answer:
Yes. A pit at the low point of the yard with a grate on top collects the surface water, and a pipe carries it into the stormwater system. We place and size it after looking at where the water actually sits when it rains.
Answer:
A few downpipe connections or a short run is often done in a day. Long runs, rock, concrete cutting and street connections that need permits take longer, and the timeline comes with your quote.
Answer:
Yes. In NSW, stormwater drainage work is regulated plumbing and drainage work and must be done by a licensed plumber or drainer. Mr Splash Plumbing holds NSW licence 306457C, and our own drainers do the work.
