Years before Mr Splash Plumbing existed, Jon worked as a plumber under his father. From him Jon learnt work ethic, integrity and staying motivated, and the most important lesson of all: the magic of family. When he started Mr Splash Plumbing with Tara, he brought those lessons with him.
That same kinship extends to every customer. Jon takes the wishes, urgency and home of his clients seriously, and instils the same in his team. Putting people before profits is his philosophy: when you do right by customers, success follows on its own.
Believe it or not, work is Tara's second favourite thing in the world. When she is not with her husband and kids, she is dedicating blood, sweat and tears to Mr Splash Plumbing. Her motto is to let nothing slide past, and the appreciation of satisfied customers is her favourite part of the job.
Tara extends that kinship to the Mr Splash crew, striving to make everyone feel like they belong. In her words: there is a saying that no one will run a business better than yourself. When you have both a husband and wife actively running it, you can't go wrong.
Jon's life work is to pass down the same ideals he received from his father. Even if his kids don't become plumbers, he hopes the core values of family carry on from one generation to the next.
Off the job, the family is active in their children's school and local district, giving back to charities across Sydney, especially efforts to help the homeless.
